Custom Monetary Units

New Monetary Units can be added with the following steps:

  1. Open User Options from the Tools menu

  2. Under Unit Systems, select Show/Hide Unit Items

  3. In the Unit Family Type list box, select Monetary Units

  4. The Custom Units button will appear on the right, select New

  5. Enter the name, description and conversion to U.S. Dollar in the appropriate fields.

  6. Click OK

The new Monetary units can be specified as your default units and used in Cost Libraries. If you do have a mixture of cost libraries with different Monetary Units, the conversion factors to U.S. Dollars will need to be updated before the cost is calculated.
