Flow solution for Junction X is above/below the maximum/minimum value specified for the resistance curve. Flow rate: Y
A Caution message in AFT Arrow
There are two variations of this Caution that are similar:
-
Flow solution for Junction X (Junction Type) is above the maximum value specified for the resistance curve. Flow Rate: Y.
-
Flow solution for Junction X (Junction Type) is below the minimum value specified for the resistance curve. Flow Rate: Y.
This caution alerts you that the calculated flow through junction X is outside the range of the raw data that was entered in the Resistance Curve. The Solver will use the Curve Fit of the entered data for all calculations, including pressure losses at flowrates that are extrapolated beyond the original data.
The user should check if the curve fit is still a good approximation of the data below the minimum data point, or above the maximum data point.
It is good practice to have the Resistance Curve pass through the point (0,0) since zero flow will result in zero pressure loss. For more information, see the help topic on Troubleshooting Resistance Curves.
