Migrate to the Zentitle2 Licensing Platform
Our latest software versions Fathom 15, Arrow 12, Impulse 12, and xStream 5 launched in fall 2026 and use a new licensing platform called Zentitle2 from Nalpeiron. Given it is a new platform, existing customers will need to migrate licenses to the new system in order to use these versions. This page outlines the requirements and steps to migrate your licenses.
Overview
-
The September 2026 release moves Fathom, Arrow, Impulse, and xStream onto Zentitle2, a licensing platform that replaces eLicense codes and physical USB license keys with individual, per-user logins.
-
Zentitle2 includes self-service user management through the End User Portal (EUP), so admins can manage access for the appropriate employees.
-
Starting with this release, all four products install through a single, unified installer.
-
This page covers the general steps for moving your account, installations, and users onto Zentitle2.
-
Special Cases: If your team currently uses a USB license key or ANS (Automated Network Sizing), see the additional sections below first - your path includes one extra decision before you begin.
Note: This page covers the technical transition process only. For questions about your contract, pricing, or timeline, contact your account representative.
Step 1: Complete the Transition Survey
This release will be rolled out in phases. When it’s your team’s turn, a short survey will be emailed to your license manager. Completing the survey reserves your place in the transition queue. The survey asks for:
-
Which products and versions you're moving to (Fathom 15, Arrow 12, Impulse 12, and/or xStream 5)
-
Whether you're currently running a Nuclear Verified version
-
How many seats to move now, and how many, if any, to keep on your current version temporarily to finish ongoing work
-
Whether you'd like to add seats
-
Name/email of your initial License Admin - they will be able to add or remove other users and admins afterward
Important: Your License Admin(s) should be whoever is responsible for managing access/licenses within your company.
Step 2: Account Setup
Once you've submitted the survey, you're in the queue for our operations team to update your contract to the new product tiers and finish setting up your Zentitle2 account.
After our team processes the changes, the License Admin you designated in your survey response will receive an email from Nalpeiron, the company behind Zentitle2, asking them to set a password. The sender email address will be noreply@nalpeiron.io. Ensure your License Admin finishes the account setup by following the link on the email to set a password.
Once your admin logs in, they can invite other users, who will get the same password-setup email. See our instructions on how to add users and assign license entitlements. Your eLicense code for the previous versions will be updated accordingly:
-
If all seats were moved, then the entire eLicense code will be set to deactivate after 30 days so you have time to make the transition.
-
If only some seats were moved to start, then the seat count on the eLicense code will be decremented accordingly.
Step 3: Download and Install
Follow our installation instructions. There is now only one unified installer package. It bundles Fathom, Arrow, Impulse, and xStream in the same installation file. A product-selection screen lets you check only the products you want to install and skip the rest. You can change your selection at any time by re-running the same installer file.
Step 4: Sign In
Once your License Admin has added you as a user and assigned you an entitlement, open the application and sign in using your email address as your username and your new Zentitle2 password.
Special Cases for USB Keys or ANS
If You Currently Use a USB License Key
USB license keys are retired as of the September 2026 release. Zentitle2 replaces them with one of two access methods:
-
Standard online activation (most customers): Checks in periodically over the internet and also supports short-term offline use, so a brief gap in connectivity isn't a problem. See the page on Temporary Offline Activation for details.
-
Local License Server (LLS), available on the Enterprise tier: Runs entirely on your own network with no external connection, for environments with a genuine air-gap requirement - for example, an isolated network or a policy that prohibits external connectivity.
Both methods run on the same secure, per-user Zentitle2 platform. If your environment doesn't require full air-gapped isolation, you will use the standard online activation. LLS requires running and maintaining your own license server. If you do have a genuine air-gap requirement, contact your account representative to get set up on LLS.
In either case, migration will require working with our support team to eventually wipe the USB key.
Once you've confirmed which access method applies to your account, continue with Step 1 above.
If You Currently Use ANS (Automated Network Sizing)
ANS is not available in the September 2026 release (see Why ANS Is Being Retired for the full explanation). Before updating, you’ll need to decide which of the following applies to your account:
-
Stay on your current version: Keep full access to ANS and your existing workflow. You will not receive this release's performance, stability, or Zentitle2 licensing improvements. No further action is needed.
-
Move to the new release: Gain the full benefit of this release's performance, stability, and licensing improvements. ANS will no longer be available - there is no in-place upgrade path that keeps it working.
Once you've decided, continue with Step 1 to submit the survey and let us know how we should handle your licenses.
