The Sizing Preferences section provides options to customize the colors used in the Sizing window, set the location of the Sizing Navigation Panel, and enable options for creating continuous/discrete candidate sets.

Note: This section of User Options will only be shown if the ANS module is activated in Fathom.

Color Options

The "Sizing Option" parameter colors affect the background colors used for the corresponding columns in the "Options to Minimize Monetary Cost" table on the Sizing Objective panel and the "Sizing and Cost Options" table on the Size/Cost Assignments panel.

The assigned background colors will also change the background of the Sizing Level status button in the Sizing Navigation Panel.

The "Common Size Group" parameter colors affect the background colors used in the "Pipe Grouping" table on the Size/Cost Assignments panel, as well as the headers used in the "Assign Candidate Sets to Pipes" section on the Candidate Sets panel and the "Assign Design Requirements to Pipes" section on the Design Requirements panel.

Sizing Navigation Panel Preferences

This section allows the user to set the default location for the Sizing Navigation Panel. By default the Sizing Navigation Panel will be located at the bottom of the Sizing window.

Sizing Panel Preferences

This section provides users with the option to show the discrete/continuous option on the Candidate Sets panel. By default this option will be hidden and all Candidate Sets will be defined as discrete.

In general the continuous candidate set option should only be used if the Sizing Type is set to Continuous, and discrete sizing does not need to be performed for the pipes.
